On the Perspectives in Science Popularization and the Tenets of Science Communication

Abstract:The different perspectives in science popularization(SP) at three stages and levels are summarized and the loosely corresponding relationship reads as folows: traditional science popularization; government; public understanding of science(PUC)/ scientific community; science
communication(SC) catering to the public / individual citizen. The relevant communication models are o utlined and some tenets of science communication are discussed.
